MODEL TEEN: Sixteen-year-old Kiwi Zippora Seven's topless appearance in an Australian magazine is being investigated by authorities.

Images of a topless, teenage, New Zealand model in an Australian magazine have led to it being investigated.

Lifestyle and fashion magazine Russh Australia hired 16-year-old Auckland teen Zippora Seven for an 18-page fashion spread with Levi Clarke, also 16.

One image shows the pair in a bubble bath, with Zippora topless and Levi's eyes closed, as if he has passed out.

Zippora also appeared in the magazine riding a horse topless.

The Classifications Act prohibits the depiction of nudity and sexual activity of minors under 18 and a spokesman for the Australian Classification Board told the Melbourne Herald Sun: "I can advise that the board has contacted the publisher of Russh Australia."

Her Australian agent, Priscilla Leighton-Clark, said the photo shoot had gone too far.

"It's wrong that our girl has appeared in a magazine exposing her breasts when she's so young," Leighton-Clark said. "Had I known it was to be a topless shoot, (Seven) would never have done it."

But Russh editor Natalie Shukur defended the pictures, saying Russh readers "get it".

"These are beautiful images of two young people in character," she said. --NZPA

Its her own choice leave her alone. Its a free country. If she wanted to do those things, fine let her, stop having a go at her tracey. GET OVER IT OK!

I completely agree with you Mr Henry, this social hypocrisy needs to be stopped, you cannot blame a child for acting as an adult, if your treating them like adults in every way but personal choices. You have to choose one side or the other, as far as im concerned people like tracey are part of the problem....not the solution.

So what you are saying is it is not o.k for Zippora to work as a model, and have her right to work and freedom of expession restricted. while the govenment treat her as an adult by making her pay tax for doing such work? I think its Classifications Act that needs to be changed.Either we sort out these stupid age laws once and for all and stop confusing the messages we send to our young or we will never protect the innocence of our children as you say.Look at the bigger picture Tracy, look at youth culture on the Internet. Then come back and tell me how to protect the innocence of our children from the twisted minds.

A strange world because we try to protect the innocence of a minor? Its not ok to get pregnant its not ok to have sex and any parent given the choice would love to stop their child from doing this. If we can have a law (Classifications Act prohibits the depiction of nudity and sexual activity of minors under 18)that prevents this and will help protect the innocence of our children from the twisted minds of many. I applaud this strange world

So it's O.k. to get pregnant or have sex at 16 and even pay tax,yet the Classifications Act prohibits the depiction of nudity and sexual activity of minors under 18. What a strange world we live in.
