Civil engineering and resources company Fulton Hogan has appointed a Christchurch rebuild executive manager.

He is Tony Gallagher, a chartered professional engineer with 25 years' experience in the construction industry.
He has held senior positions at Fulton Hogan over the past 18 years.

The Christchurch-based company has more than 5300 staff across New Zealand and Australia in construction, roading, quarrying, asphalt production and precast manufacturing.

It is one of five construction companies in the Stronger Christchurch Infrastructure Rebuild Team rebuilding the city's sewer, water, stormwater and road networks.

Fulton Hogan chief operating officer (infrastructure) Robert Jones said Gallagher knew the Christchurch market well.

"Tony's appointment allows Fulton Hogan to dedicate a senior executive 100 per cent to the needs of our Christchurch customers and the challenges of the rebuild," Jones said.
