Christchurch software company Intranel has won recognition for ranking among the fastest-growing tech companies in the Asia-Pacific.
The Christchurch-based tech consultancy received an award from Deloitte after being ranked 28th in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 index of the Asia Pacific region's fastest-growing technology businesses for 2013.
Intranel develops market research software, which it sells under a "software as a service" model to research agencies.
The software is used for testing the response to new products or services, brand communications with customers, and digital media and advertising.
The product is marketed globally by Intranel's UK-based subsidiary, Visionslive.
Intranel was also ranked number one fastest-growing technology business in the Canterbury and Upper South Island category, and third in New Zealand.
Rankings are measured across a three-year financial period.
Intranel business director Dave Sanders said it had been a time of "good, solid continuous growth", and the awards were "fantastic".
Intranel's key focus so far had been overseas, and Sanders hoped the award would strengthen the company's position in the New Zealand market.
"What we're really looking to do now is to come back to New Zealand, be a bit more recognised in here, and be more available as a provider for local companies."
