Remaining cloud should clear this morning, for a fine day with a high of 23 degrees Celsius with a fresh northeasterly.
Tomorrow will start fine, with a high of 26C, but a late southerly change will bring evening showers.
Those showers will continue on Friday, with a high of 15C.
A gas leak in Hornby this morning has been contained and the area cleared for traffic.
Police and fire were at the scene this morning after a digger hit a gas main. Traffic was diverted to avoid Halswell Junction Rd between Shands Rd and Branston St.
The leak was isolated by the gas company.

Q What is happening to the section of Anzac Dr between the Bridge St roundabout at South Brighton through to Pages Rd?
A The road is about to be rebuilt. Scirt has been repairing stormwater pipes in the area. The road will be closed to light vehicles from 9am to 4pm and drivers will be detoured via Breezes Rd and Pages Rd. After work hours, the road will be opened but unsealed. The first stage of this work is between Breezes Rd/ the Bridge St roundabout and Pages Rd. It will run through to the New Year.

WHAT IS ON TODAY
The Canterbury Repertory Theatre presents Wolf, a play by Tim Barcode, supported by Christchurch Creative Communities NZ and Rep, is about some Avonside residents, earthquakes and personal and community upheaval. 7pm, CBD Bar, 208 Madras St.
