QUESTION OF THE DAY

Q: Is there a reason why the Mt Pleasant old school reserve is not being mown to a standard that children can play happily on without the fear of being stung by a bee, or people walking their dogs don't get wet feet and their dogs being covered in sticky seed heads? I wondered if the city council was getting into hay making?

A: Mowing of the lower section of the reserve had not been undertaken due to access difficulties via the bottom vehicle entrance. This has now been resolved and the lower section of the reserve was scheduled to be mown in time for use over the Christmas period. Christchurch City Council
