It manages a large volume of traffic that is rapidly increasing as the new subdivisions go ahead. When will the intersection be more safely controlled by traffic lights to facilitate the heavy traffic associated with the challenges of replacing communities on the perimeters of our city? - Linda Hunter.
ANSWER: Preparatory work is under way at the intersection to install traffic signals. Signals are expected to be installed by May 2014 - Christchurch City Council.
