QUESTION OF THE DAY

Q: Why is Cranford St between Placemakers and Caltex looking so unkempt - long grass, trees looking like shrubs, branches sprouting from trunks? John Laffey

A: The area of grass in question is mown five times each year. The January mowing was not completed because onsite roadworks prevented access. Contractors mowed the grass when access became available. The area will be mown again this month in preparation for winter. Contractors will also remove growth sprouting around the base of the trees.
