The heat is on: Eagles singer on tour
The heat is on. Founding member of the Eagles Glenn Frey has announced a Christchurch concert for next March.
The lead vocalist and lyricist and his band will perform two New Zealand concerts at the CBS Canterbury Arena on March 8 and Auckland's Vector Arena on March 10.
The set list will include Eagles hits such as Hotel California, Witchy Woman, Life in the Fast Lane, New Kid in Town, and Heartache Tonight, Frey's solo hits from the 1980s and new songs from his sixth solo album After Hours.
Frey formed the Eagles with Don Henley in 1971 and the group released their debut album in 1972. The Eagles have since sold over 120 million albums worldwide.
As a solo artist and with the Eagles combined, Frey has released 24 Top 40 singles on the Billboard Hot 100.
He has received six Grammy Awards and five American Music Awards.
Dane Rumble is the support act for both New Zealand shows.
Tickets go on sale November 29 through Ticketek.
