The Tannery at Woolston was packed with fashionistas as Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology students flaunted their designs on the 67-metre catwalk on Saturday.

About 900 people turned up to the PITCH Fashion Show to see first and second-year students reveal their year's work, while the third-year students got the chance to show off their own collections.

Carina McLennan won for overall design and commercial suitability.

Claudia Lloyd won the award for top model.
