Plus Masterclass sessions, tasty samples and hot new kitchen equipment. Go online for a detailed itinerary or head to the CBS Canterbury Arena, Jack Hinton Drive, Addington. General entry tickets are $19 but some sessions are extra. Today, 10am to 6pm, tomorrow 10am to 5pm.

Christchurch's strong ties with Antarctica will be celebrated over the coming month with various talks and events. This weekend features a heritage discussion compered by Marcus Lush, a live link-up to Scott Base, and a treasure trail for children to learn more about the ice, plus an ice-skating rink.
