Silent Disco

Part of the Body Festival, the Silent Disco is a dance floor with a difference. Dancers wear headphones so the music is for your ears only. Kids' disco, today, 2pm until the last person stops dancing. Adults' disco, 9pm. $5 (includes the headphones).

More Body Fest

The Festival of Dance and Physical Theatre has have-a- go workshops and live performances. By donation at Les Mills, 203 Cashel St, today from 1.30pm to 4.45pm; tomorrow, 10.30am till 3.30pm.


More IceFest

This weekend's lineup includes Women in Antarctica, Te Radar, Dave Dobbyn, Patrick Shepherd and Chris Cree Brown. Hagley Park. Runs until October 14.

Brighton Gallery

Celebrating 10 years in the New Brighton Mall, the gallery will hold an open day today at 2.30pm. Awards for best painting, children's awards and people's choice.

Town and Country Artists

The 50th jubilee exhibition of this society runs today, 10am till 5pm and tomorrow, 10am till 4pm. St Andrew's College, Normans Rd, $2.

Lego build

Sponsored by Habitat for Humanity, entrants get 45 minutes to build a home from Lego. Register online or simply pop down for a look. Today, 10am till 3pm, St Martin's Anglican Church, 50 Lincoln Rd, Spreydon.

Whingeing and Carping Party

The Rebuild Christchurch Foundation is hosting this event. Write down your troubles when you arrive and post them in the Worry Box; then sing and dance. Tonight, 8pm till midnight. Orchid Show

The Oxford Classic & Vintage Car Cruise

An Evening With Pamela Stephenson

Listen to writer, comedian and wife of Billy Connolly, Pamela Stephenson, talk about her book, The Varnished Untruth. Monday, 7.30pm at the Netball Courts centre, Hagley Park South, $12.
