$200 for two minutes work

Canterbury students can earn $200 for less than two minutes work.

Student Job Search (SJS) is advertising for a shadow walker.

According to the job description, the successful applicant must "sneakily walk behind someone as if you were their shadow copying their exact movements''.

"If they turn around you have to act like nothing has happened.''

SJS marketing executive Catherine Martindale said the applicants must apply online.

A group of ten finalists would be selected for telephone interviews, before heading out to test their mettle on the street.

Each would film a short video, less than two minutes long, of them shadow walking.

The best one would win $200 and have their efforts posted online.

"We have had quite a few applications,'' she said.

"About 24 at the last count.''

Applications close on Friday.
