It has been a busy day for the Westpac Rescue chopper, which has so far picked up two injured motor bikers and a driver.

A 48-year-old male from Christchurch crashed his motorbike in Amberley about 12.45pm.

He was flown to Christchurch Hospital with neck and hand injuries.

A moto cross rider, 29, sustained serious leg injuries after coming off his bike.

It is not known what track he was riding on at the time.

He was flown to Christchurch Hospital at 2pm.

Then at 3pm a female driver, 46, injured her hip in a three-car-crash north of Amberley.

The Press understands she was trapped in her car when paramedics arrived.

She was flown Christchurch Hospital.
