Looking for new music that will excite you? Look no further.

There's nothing quite like the sheer joy of discovering new music that you instantly love. If you're like me, you're always on the look out for the next hit, 'scuse the pun. Sometimes, however, it just seems as if there's nothing that pushes the right buttons.

Don't get me wrong, I love reviewing music, but if you only knew the truckloads of dire recordings I had to listen to in a week it would make your ears hurt. In the buildup to Christmas there are CDs that arrive on my desk that I'm afraid to touch with tweezers. (Please, Santa, no David Hasselhoff Christmas album this year). Tis the season to be jolly, ho ho ho hum. Nothing but noise pollution and a waste of plastic.

So, what's hot right now? Blowed if I know. But, hey, give these 20 songs a listen and you might discover something new that you like, too.

Download them from your favourite legal source or couch kumara about and wait for them to appear on C4.
