British folk rock band Mumford & Sons have announced a three-date New Zealand tour in November and will perform in Christchurch.
With the release of their debut album, Sigh No More, in 2009, they have achieved global success. In New Zealand, the album reached No 1 in the charts, selling triple platinum.
The group won the Brit and ARIA awards and had people around the world humming their hit debut single, Little Lion Man. They were also nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and several Grammy awards.
In September the band will release a follow-up album through Gentleman of the Road/Dew Process. Fans who buy tickets to their shows will have the first option to order it.
Mumford & Sons will play at Auckland's Vector Arena on November 2, the Wellington Town Hall on November 4 and the CBS Canterbury Arena on November 6.
Tickets to the group's New Zealand shows will go on sale through Ticketek at 9am on July 9.
