Beyonce Knowles' song Crazy In Love has been voted the best song of the decade.
The 2003 single - which features her now husband Jay-Z - was released as the lead single from her album Dangerously in Love and went on to massive success, reaching the top spot in the UK and US charts, as well as landing Beyonce two Grammy awards.
The former Destiny's Child singer beat MGMT, whose 2008 song Time To Pretend came second, to the top spot, while The Strokes' Hard To Explain, from 2001, was third.
At number four was MIA's 2008 track Paper Planes and at number five was Outcast with Hey Ya!, in which listeners were told to head to the dance floor and "shake it like a Polaroid picture".
The Klaxons, with their 2007 song Golden Skans, Blur, with their 2003 track Out Of Time, and Arctic Monkeys' A Certain Romance all made the top 10.

what this is saying is that Rnb was most popular form of music this decade
terrible, terrible song. one of the worst
what a joke - beyonce who,if she had talent why does she dress up like a callgirl
Don't recognise 99% of these so they can't be that memorable!! A true poll has to cover a wide age range and these songs are probable only popular with a small percentage of teens....Give me Kings of Leon any time....
this explain either one of two things...
1. NME is read mostly by prepubescent girls.
or
2. The readers of NME have their taste for music up their backside.
you choose.
The decade is not over yet and their has been soooo much else that is better than the semi-talented Beyuncie.
if those are the best songs of the decade things can only improve from now
Some good tunes there but Beyonce Number 1?? And 'The Streets - Dry Your Eyes' shouldn't even be in the top 100!
Y only the Mainstream..... there are some classic underground releases of th edecade..i.e Machine Head The Blackening etc
Dont even know 17 of these songs. Stephen Donald for primeminister ....... Yeah Right
