Toyota New Zealand confirms that the only model sold in New Zealand affected by the current throttle pedal recall is the UK-manufactured Avensis model.

Paul Carroll, General Manager of After Sales for Toyota New Zealand, said that all other models sold new in New Zealand, as well as all used imported Toyotas from Japan, were unaffected by the recall as the accelerator pedals used on these models were sourced from a different manufacturer than the affected units.
