Woman cut from car after crash
A woman has been cut free from her car after a crash in central Christchurch this morning.
Emergency services were called to the two-car crash at the intersection of Purchas St and Madras St just before 8am.
Police said one woman was trapped and had to be freed from the vehicle by fire fighters using cutting equipment.
She was taken to Christchurch as a precaution with minor injuries, a spokesman said.
Christchurch City Council staff were on site controlling traffic and motorists should expect delays.
