House fire in Little Akaloa

A Little Akaloa holiday home has been gutted by a fire at lunchtime today.
Akaroa firefighters were called to the blaze shortly after 11.30am and arrived to find the house well alight.
Speaking shortly after 1pm, a Fire Service spokesman said the fire was out but the holiday house was gutted.
He said the cause of the fire was not yet known.
