Youngsters get a taste of multisport

Mini multisporters filled a Christchurch reserve with noise and activity yesterday.
The Tiddlers Multisport event involved children aged two to seven completing a run, a bike ride and a "bouncy castle gloop slide".
The 230 children flocked to Rawhiti Domain in New Brighton to take part in the races.
The slide at the end of the course was designed as an alternative to the swimming stage of the traditional triathlon, organiser Viv McCaskey said.
"These children are too young to swim, so we created something they can do instead," she said.
