Last Cantabrian standing to win a world trip
Well-balanced Cantabrians are being offered a chance to win a round-the-world trip by standing on one leg in North Hagley Park.
Air New Zealand grabaseat will give round-the-world tickets for two to the person who can "prove they are the strongest person standing-by Christchurch" at a contest this Saturday.
The contest kicks off at 11.30am when a starting horn will sound and participants will be challenged to stand on one spot for as long as they can. The last person standing will win two round-the-world tickets.
Organisers are urging people to turn up early for registration as only the first 300 people will be allowed to enter. Registrations take place between 10am and 11am.
The airline is also encouraging people to dress up for a chance to win one of six domestic flight spot prizes that will also be distributed at random to deserving standers-by on the day.
