Three shortlisted for Christchurch City Council top job
Environment Southland chief executive Ciaran Keogh is one of three applicants short-listed for the Christchurch City Council's top job.
Other contenders for the chief executive's job include incumbent Tony Marryatt and Vbase boss Bryan Pearson.
Keogh has been at the Southland regional council since 2007. He was chief at the Clutha District Council until 2005, after which he had a stint managing a shire council in New South Wales before returning to Invercargill.
Keogh said yesterday he had been invited to an interview early next month. It would be an incredible time to be working in Christchurch. "It's the most amazing opportunity," he said.
Keogh supported regional councils at an environmental conference two years ago when there was a move from Government advisers to consider their abolition.
