Two men have been arrested in Queenstown after climbing on top of a McDonalds roof to eat takeaways at 4am.

The pair, from Alexandra, were arrested for unlawfully being in a building after they were found sitting on top of the restaurant in Queenstown.

Police were called to the restaurant about 4am after the pair climbed on to the roof to eat their takeaway meal.

No other information was available.
