Environment Canterbury's general rates in 2012-13 will remain at the same amount as the current year of $41.276 million after the regional council set its rates this week.
However, targeted rates have risen to support high-priority activities - collaborative water management and rebuilding passenger transport volumes in Christchurch.
Overall, targeted rates have been set at $37.571 million, up from $32.835 million in the 2011-12 year.
Total Environment Canterbury rates - general plus targeted - have been set at $78.847 million, up from $74.111 million.
ECan adopted its Long Term Plan for 2012-22, including the Annual Plan for the 2012-13 financial year, at a meeting on Thursday.
