A man is in Christchurch Hospital with serious injuries following a fight in Riccarton last night.
A police spokesman said the fight happened near the Fox and Ferret Bar on Rotherham St about 11.30pm yesterday.
Police were investigating the incident.
A Fox and Ferret staff member said the bar was not able to comment on the incident, but he confirmed there "was a bit of scrap" outside the premises last night.
