A man is still on the run after armed police were called to a Christchurch home last night.
Police were called to a house in Edgeware following reports of a domestic incident about 11.20pm yesterday.
When police arrived, a 44-year-old male presented a pistol at the attending officers.
No shots were fired, but the offending male managed to flee the scene before members of the armed offenders squad arrived.
The man was still on the run, police said this morning.
An air pistol was found at the house, and police believed the offender was no longer armed.
The man was known to police.
An investigation to locate the man was continuing today.
