A pedestrian hit by a car in Riccarton has been taken to a medical centre with minor injuries.

A police spokesman said a 25-year-old woman was hit by a car near the intersection of Riccarton Rd and Mandeville St about 7.25am.

Police and ambulance attended.

A St John spokesman said the woman was taken by ambulance to the Moorhouse Medical Centre.
