The owner of a lottery ticket sold in Christchurch is $500,000 richer after winning Lotto's First division last night.
The winning ticket was purchased at Ilam New World.
A Lotto spokeswoman said the Christchurch winners had not claimed their prize yet.
Powerball First Division has jackpotted and will be worth an estimated $8 million next week, meanwhile Strike has also jackpotted to $300,000.
Another Christchurch pair struck it lucky last night, too.
Michael and Veronica from Sockburn spun and won $100,000 on the Winning Wheel.
This win has come at the perfect time for the pair, who are currently in court proceedings to save their home.
