One person has been taken to Christchurch Hospital after a crash in Hornby this morning.

A motorcycle collided with a cyclist at the intersection of Springs and Awatea roads about 7.30am.

A police spokesman said one person was treated by ambulance for "moderate injuries" following the accident.

Traffic was also being delayed in Burnside after another crash this morning.

Two cars collided at the intersection of Grahams Rd and Memorial Ave about 7.10am.

"The cars are in the middle of the intersection so there is a slight delay in traffic as cars are going around them. The tow truck is now on its way," the spokesman said.

No-one was injured in the accident.
