South Brighton's Bridge St bridge will be exit only from this Monday.

Wastewater pipe repair work at the Estuary Rd roundabout means that a full lane will be closed, requiring a detour.

Bridge St, from the South Brighton roundabout to the Anzac Drive-Bexley Rd roundabout, will be west-bound only.

Fulton Hogan is coordinating the wastewater pipe replacement in South Brighton, at the roundabout and along to Cromer Place, as closely as possible with the bridge repairs.

The repairs to the bridge itself, which follows on from the wastewater pipe replacement on Bridge St, will take around 10 to 12 months to complete.

The detour and one-way system will remain in place during this time.

The bridge will remain open in both directions for cyclists and pedestrian traffic.
