Canterbury cocktail "mixologist" David Cusiel, of Zephyr Catering, prepares four Antarctic-themed drinks in the Scott Base bar and cafe that is part of the month-long IceFest.
With a view of the ice rink, visitors will be able to sip on old-fashioned whisky sours, mulled wine, Captain Scott's high tea and Antarctic iced-sling, among others.
"There's lots of crushed ice in most of the drinks because we really wanted to capture the look of Antarctica," Cusiel said. The container bar has been painted Scott Base green.
