Former and current Christchurch broadcasters will rub shoulders at a reunion to mark two industry milestones in the city.
About 150 people will attend an event at the end of the month to mark the 75th anniversary of the 3ZB radio station and the 50th anniversary of television in the city.
Reunion committee member Julie Cunningham said the 50th anniversary of television was to take place last year, but was postponed after the February 2011 earthquake. Cunningham, the first woman television announcer in Canterbury, said she had enjoyed being a part of the early days of television in Christchurch.
The joint reunion would allow people who had worked in both industries to reminisce, she said.
Some registering for the reunion will be coming from as far afield as Australia and London.
