The Crown alleges a 37-year-old man committed offences in three incidents involving sexual approaches to adult men over a 21-month period.
Evidence about all three incidents is being heard by a jury this week.
The man is charged with assault with intent to commit sexual violation, intentionally injuring a man, sexual violation by unlawful sexual connection and doing an indecent act in a public place.
He denied all the charges as the five-day jury trial opened before Christchurch District Court Judge Alistair Garland today.
The man has name suppression until the jury returns its verdicts.
