Firefighters have extinguished a blaze in a factory on Main South Road in Christchurch.
Four trucks and a command unit were sent to the scene, near the Sockburn roundabout.
Fire service spokesman Rewai Grace said the fire was "well underway'' when the firefighters arrived.
Smoke was reported coming from the factory at 12.42 and trucks arrived at the scene in about two minutes, Grace said.
Grace did not know if the factory was occupied. He says only two trucks remain at the scene now.
