The Christchurch City Council today announced the reopening dates for three of its popular outdoor pools.

The Jellie Park 50-metre outdoor pool and the Halswell Aquatic Centre will reopen on November 17, followed by the Templeton Pool on December 10.

The Botanic Gardens paddling pool is scheduled to open on Saturday.

The Waltham Lido Pool and Lyttelton's Norman Kirk Memorial Pool will remain closed this summer because of earthquake damage.

Both pools are among 30 projects prioritised by the council in September for further investigations, funding and repairs under its facilities rebuild plan.

Investigations into possible repair options for both pools are continuing.
