Masseur charged after mall massage
A Christchurch man has appeared in court after allegedly assaulting a female customer while giving her a massage at a shopping mall.
The man, 58, appeared in the Christchurch District Court yesterday charged with indecent assault and was remanded on bail without plea to reappear on January 7.
Detective Damon Wells said the woman had ''done the right thing'' by reporting the incident, which allegedly happened about 7.30pm last Friday, to police.
Wells said if anyone had any concerns about inappropriate treatment they had received during a massage they should phone 363 7859.
