At 12.12pm, December 12, 2012, Natalie Johnson and David Cookson embarked on the next stage of their life together as husband and wife.
Celebrant Anne Stubbersfield said everything went smoothly at today's wedding.
''They've planned the whole wedding service. The bus with all the guests had to be right on time,'' she said.
Johnson and Cookson, who have been together for 14 years, had an ''intimate, calming wedding'', Stubbersfield said.
''Their 12-year-old twin daughters were there. They didn't turn 12 today; they couldn't manage to get them on December 12,'' she said.
The couple were married at Hampton Lea Gardens in Rolleston, and the owner timed everything so Johnson reached Cookson at the end of the aisle at 12.12pm.
Cookson had proposed to Johnson several times over the years, but she had always turned him down.
''I wasn't really fussed on getting married. I always said 'no', but then it was a leap year and I ended up asking him to marry me,'' she said yesterday.
