Christchurch's gay community will ring in the New Year with music, dancing and a "kiss-fest" in Sydenham.
Gaynz.com reports the "party and kiss-fest" will see "Christchurch's gay party animals" gather to see the year in with music, dance and queer company, "all in a 100 per cent Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender and Intersex (GLBTI)-friendly space".
Called the QNY Party, festivities will kick off from 9pm on December 31, at a site adjacent to the Honeypot Cafe at 458 Colombo St.
The party will take over the cafe and include a private, screened outdoor area with chill space, but party organiser Richard Tankersley encourages revellers to get in quick if they want a ticket.
"The space is big enough but not huge so it will be best to get a $15 ticket in advance at the Honeypot to ensure you can get in on the night," he says.
