A double-decker bus loaded up with presents and hampers is delivering Christmas joy to struggling Christchurch families.
Over 300 needy families from the Christchurch and Canterbury area were nominated for Project Christmas, a venture organised by the Rebuild Christchurch Foundation, which supports communities following the Canterbury quakes.
The Project Christmas initiative, in its second year, was established to support families struggling to provide a Christmas for their family.
Last year, gifts were delivered to 76 families.
A double-decker bus loaded with gifts and hampers has been enlisted to deliver gifts and hampers to 298 families by Christmas Day this year.
