Delays are to be expected at a busy Christchurch intersection today.
Motorists are advised to expect delays at the intersection of Aldwins, Ferry and Ensors roads in Linwood.
A Christchurch City Council spokeswoman said emergency works were being carried out in the centre of the intersection.
Lane restrictions on the approach to the intersection will mean reduced capacity for traffic through the area.
In particular, traffic is building up on the Ferry Rd city-bound route.
The council asked motorists to consider alternative routes to avoid delays.
The duration of the works is unknown at this time.
