Ringo Starr played at the CBS Canterbury Arena last night.
Starr, one of only two surviving members of The Beatles, performed with his group, the All Starr Band.
The 72-year-old drummer first toured New Zealand with The Beatles in 1964.
The show included several hits, including Starr's Beatles songs, songs from his 17 solo albums and songs from his band members.
His Christchurch show was the first of two performances in New Zealand, with the second at Auckland's Vector Arena tomorrow.
