The two people charged with murdering Picton woman Robyn Grace have been named as husband and wife David Adrian Holl and Janelle Amanda Holl.
Judge Richard Russell lifted name suppression for both in the Blenheim District Court today.
David Holl, 19, who is believed to be Grace's elder son, appeared in court dressed in grey overalls and handcuffed.
During the hearing he waved at people in the public gallery and smiled and laughed as the judge spoke.
His lawyer, Mike Hardy-Jones, asked for him to be sent back to Hillmorton Hospital in Christchurch for further psychiatrict assessments.
Judge Russell refused, saying he had a letter from the hospital saying Holl was fit to plead, he did not need continued psychiatric care and the hospital did not want him back.
Janelle Holl, 26, unemployed, has been remanded to Christchurch and did not appear in court today, but her lawyer, Nikki Utting, said psychiatric assessments had been completed.
She was remanded to Christchurch Women's Prison to appear again on April 15.
David Holl was also remanded to appear again on April 15.
