A two-car crash has caused delays during peak hour traffic in Burnside this morning.

A police spokesman said the collision occurred at the intersection of Memorial Ave and Geers Rd just after 7am.

He said the cars blocked the road causing traffic to "back up".

The occupants suffered "minimal injuries".

Police were still at the scene managing traffic until a tow vehicle arrived.
