Dogs of all shapes and sizes from around the South Island converged on Christchurch yesterday to compete for championship honors in the Dog Agility and Obedience Championship Show hosted by the Canterbury Canine Obedience Club at Canterbury Park.

The dogs and their handlers had to attempt to navigate a range of courses from easy to the very top level, as well as perform remarkable feats of agility and obedience.

The trials continue today (Sunday) so it's not too late to see these champion canines in action.
