The trial of an Ashburton youth accused of murdering Sina Nerisa Solomona will start in Timaru on November 4.
The date was set at a pre-trial conference in the High Court at Christchurch, before Justice Christian Whata today.
The 16-year-old, who was aged 15 at the time, is alleged to have sexually violated and murdered the woman at an address in Ashburton.
He was remanded in custody to another pre-trial session on July 19.
Defence counsel Elizabeth Bulger said the trial had been set for two weeks, but she and Crown prosecutor Andrew McRae had agreed it might take just over a week.
