Body confirmed as missing Garrick
Police have formally identified a body found in a caravan at Cromwell last week as that of Simon James Garrick, missing since October last year.
The body was found by the woman who owned the caravan, which had been stored at the rear of a Cromwell holiday park.
Alexandra detective Sergeant Derek Shaw, who since May has made several public pleas on behalf of Garrick's family for information about his disappearance, said the family had been informed that the identification process had been completed.
The cause of Garrick's death was now in the hands of the coroner, Shaw said.
