His Gold Band taxi, a white 2008 Toyota Camry, registration number ELQ718, was found in Kellys Rd, Mairehau, at 11am yesterday.

Mackle is described as a European of medium build. He is 187 centimetres with short grey hair, and was possibly carrying a 9 kilogram LPG gas cylinder.

Police said they were ‘‘very concerned’’ for Mackle.
