Hayley's marriage magazine deal
The veil of secrecy shrouding Kiwi songstress Hayley Westenra's wedding day has been lifted.
Last week Westenra's father, Gerald, would not say if his daughter had tied the knot with her 34-year-old French fiance, Arnaud Sabard.
But today the first photos of the singing star, who hails from Christchurch, have been published by Woman's Day.
The magazine revealed that broadcaster Jason Gunn was MC while Christchurch singer and friend Elizabeth Braggins performed at the wedding.
Woman's Day editor Sido Kitchin said the magazine was delighted to share in Hayley and Arnaud's wedding.
"It was a rainy day, but nothing could dampen Hayley's happiness. She looked exquisite."
Deals for celebrity weddings vary in price but can often involve tens of thousands of dollars.
The young London-based couple met six years ago, when Arnaud worked as a sound engineer on Westenra's tours.
Sabard proposed to Westenra, who soared to fame as a teenager, in early 2013 at Lake Wakatipu near Queenstown while she was on a break from recording in London. On December 29, they were married in front of 93 friends and family.
