Missing teen found in Cashmere
A Christchurch teenager missing for two weeks has been found safe and well.
Police issued a missing person alert for 14-year-old Chinyanta Mfwembe Chinyanta on Tuesday after he had not been in contact with his family for two weeks.
Police spokesman Stephen Hill said Chinyanta was located in Cashmere late yesterday afternoon after police received information from a member of the public.
The teenager had since been returned to his family in Sydenham.
Police thanked media and the public for their help in finding Chinyanta, he said.
