One person has died after a fire in a sleepout in Leithfield Beach this morning.
Fire Service southern communications shift manager Riwai Grace said firefighters were alerted to the blaze just before 9am at the Kowai St property.
The sleepout was well ablaze when they arrived, and there was one male inside.
The man's body had been removed from the scene.
There were no further details on the deceased.
The fire was no longer being treated as suspicious.
Police and fire investigators were at the scene.
